Care that Carries You
A 6 month, one-on-one, nervous system recovery experience for healthcare workers and caregivers who are running on empty.
You give everything you have, and then some. But you can't care for others when there's nothing left of you.
You are the one people rely on.
The steady one. The capable one.
The one who keeps going even when your body is asking you to slow down.
And somewhere along the way,
caring for yourself started to feel optional.
Client Reviews
“She is clear and easy to understand. Great responses to questions.”
— Jeanette H“Grace is so authentic and so real that she had my trust immediately. I love the no perfection approach! Leading us to self discovery and self love is the best. The work you are doing is SO important and timely.”
— Kim W“I really love this experience and the space you hold!.”
— Jocelyn BIf you work in healthcare, or give CARE in any capacity, this might feel familiar:
You often take care of everyone else’s needs and neglect your own
Your days look like a whirlwind of activity and no rest
Your body feels wired, overstimulated, or stuck in “doing mode”
You wish you had time to sit down for a full meal
You’re tired of just feeling tired. Even your days off don’t feel restful
Over time, this isn’t just acute exhaustion. This is a deep disconnection from your own body.
You know something needs to change,
but most wellness advice feels unrealistic for the life you actually live.
What if self-care didn’t have to feel like another thing to push through?
Complicated routines that only work for a week
Wellness advice that doesn’t fit real life
Feeling like you’re failing at taking care of yourself
Trying to “push” your way out of exhaustion
Being told to “just meditate” when you barely have time to eat
What if instead it was like this:
Grounding after long days of giving to everyone else
Supportive for your energy
Calming to your nervous system
Nourishing in ways you can feel in just a few minutes
Small enough to fit into real life
You deserve the same care you give to everyone else.
Inside the 6 Months of Care That Carries You
Your One-on-One Support
12 one-on-one sessions over 6 months. We start with two weekly sessions (the first one is 90 minutes) to build momentum early, then space sessions out to every 2–3 weeks based on what you need.
An in-depth personal intake before we begin, so this container is built around your actual history and current state from day one.
Direct access between sessions, for the moments you need a quick check-in or a little extra support before we meet again. Communication through email and voice text (Voxer).
A guidebook with reflections, physical and breathwork practices designed to meet you where you are.
Fully flexible scheduling, built around the unpredictability of healthcare shifts, with no fixed calendar to keep up with.
Why six months?
A few days or a few weeks is enough time to feel the shift.
Six months is enough time to trust it.
Because here's what usually happens…
You start sleeping better.
You eat lunch sitting down (most days, anyway).
Your shoulders finally drop somewhere below your ears.
And then…
A short-staffed month.
A family emergency.
The holidays.
And the old "just push through it" mode shows up again, right on schedule.
That's not failure. That's a nervous system doing exactly what it practiced for years.
Six months means you're not figuring it out alone when things wobble.
We build your foundation together, and then keep going while your new
rhythms get tested by real life
Over 6 months, we will explore:
Foundations
Before we focus on building habits, energy, or resilience, we first work on helping the body come out of chronic stress and constant “go mode.” This phase is about downregulating the nervous system and giving your body the rest and safety it’s been craving.

Rebuilding Support
Once the nervous system feels more supported, we begin rebuilding energy, nourishment and sustainable daily rhythms in ways that work in your real life and schedule.

Reconnecting With Yourself
As the body becomes more supported, we shift toward reconnecting with yourself, your needs, your values, and the parts of life that bring meaning, joy, and fulfillment.

Carrying It Forward
Life will keep changing (and so will you). This is where we lean into the self-trust you’ve built during our time together, so the work keeps supporting you long after our sessions end. We also focus on ojas, what Ayurveda calls your deep reserves: the steady, resilient energy that doesn’t come from caffeine or adrenaline, but from consistent and stable support.

Intentions for the Future
Working with your body, not against it
Stress doesn't just live in your head.
It lives in your shoulders. Your gut. Your breath that never quite reaches your belly.
Somatic practices are simple ways of using your body to tell your nervous system:
you're safe now, you can soften.
No hour-long routine. No perfect form. Most take less than two minutes, and many can happen in a hallway, a parked car, or between patients.
During the day
for the middle of a busy shift
-
Feet on the Ground - 60 seconds
Pressing your feet into the floor and feeling the ground hold you. It sounds almost too simple… that's the point. It brings you out of your racing thoughts and back into your body, right where you are.
-
Three Breaths Between Tasks - 30 seconds
Three slow breaths with a long, easy exhale. A longer exhale is one of the quickest ways to signal your body to shift out of fight-or-flight.
-
Orienting - 60 seconds
Slowly letting your eyes move around the room and land on a few things you can see. Your nervous system is always scanning for danger. Orienting lets it look around and notice that, right now, you're okay.
-
Connection with Self - 60 seconds
One hand on your heart, one on your belly. It's a way of giving your body the same steady comfort you give to everyone else all day.
-
Tense and Release - 2 minutes
Gently squeezing your fists, shoulders, or jaw, holding, then letting go. Sometimes your body doesn't realize how tightly it's been bracing until it feels the difference.
After the shift
for coming down and coming home
-
Shaking It Off - 60 seconds
Gentle shaking through your hands, arms, and legs. Animals literally shake off stress after a threat passes. We just stopped letting ourselves do it (and yes, the bathroom at work counts lol).
-
The End-of-Shift Transition - 2 minutes
A small ritual to mark the line: washing your hands with intention, a few breaths in the car, changing clothes as a reset. So you don't carry the whole shift through your front door.
-
Humming Breath (Bhramari) 1-2 minutes
A soft hum on the exhale, borrowed from yoga. The vibration is soothing, and many people find it calms a buzzing mind faster than silence can.
-
Legs Up the Wall - 5 minutes
Lying on your back with your legs resting up a wall. Your body gets to stop holding itself up for a moment, and it's one of the most restful positions there is.
-
Abhyanga (Warm Oil Self-Massage) - 5 minutes (at least)
An Ayurvedic practice of massaging warm oil into your skin. It's deeply grounding in fall and winter, when Ayurveda says we're more prone to feeling scattered, anxious, and dry (what's called Vata season). Five minutes counts.
What you can expect
There are so many benefits to a self-care practice. Here are just a few:
Feeling more connected to your body’s signals for food, movement, rest, or bathroom breaks, instead of constantly overriding them
More stable energy throughout the day without constantly running on stress hormones
Simple practices to help your body come out of survival mode during stressful days
Deep, restorative sleep
A supportive practice that actually fits your own life!
A more regulated and nourished body = a calmer presence = more effective and supportive care for those that you serve
This program is for YOU if….
You work in healthcare (clinical or supportive roles)
You give care to an individual (in your own home or another setting) and find it difficult to find time for yourself
You feel burned out, exhausted, and depleted
You want support from someone who has been there and sees and values the work that you do
You need guidance that is so NOT complicated
You are looking for support that goes deeper than a quick fix
You’ve tried to make changes before and watched them slip away when life got hard
Why work with me?
Hello, my name is Grace.
I am a Registered Dietitian, Ayurveda Health Coach, Yoga Instructor, and someone who has worked in healthcare for over 20 years.
I know what it’s like to spend your days caring for other people while slowly becoming disconnected from yourself.
The long shifts, the overstimulation, and the constant responsibility. The pressure to keep going no matter how exhausted you are.
I also know that most self-care advice feels completely unrealistic when you work in healthcare.
This program is built around practices that are gentle, practical, and sustainable. The kinds of things that actually help when your nervous system is overloaded and your body is asking for support.
I want more healthcare workers to understand that caring for themselves is not selfish. It is necessary.

FAQs
(and in case some points need repeating…..)
-
Most wellness programs ask burned out people to do more.
This program is different.
Care That Carries You was created specifically for healthcare workers and caregivers who are already carrying so much. Instead of adding more expectations, it offers gentle structure, nourishment, and practices that help support the whole person - physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically.
-
The program is designed to feel supportive, not overwhelming.
Most individuals spend approximately 1–3 hours per week engaging with the material, reflections, and practices. You are invited to move at a pace that feels sustainable for your nervous system and season of life
-
Not at all.
Everything is taught in a grounded, approachable, and practical way.You do not need prior experience — only a willingness to begin caring for yourself with a little more intention and compassion.
-
No.
This program is educational and supportive in nature and is not a replacement for therapy, medical care, or mental health treatment. Many people find it complements other forms of support beautifully.
-
There is no failing here.
Healthcare life is demanding and unpredictable. You will be able to return to the material at your own pace. This program is meant to support you — not become another source of stress.
-
This program may be a good fit if:
you feel depleted from constantly giving to others
your own needs often come last
you are craving a softer, more sustainable approach to self-care
you want support that feels realistic for healthcare life
you are tired of all-or-nothing wellness culture
you want to feel more nourished, grounded, and supported in your daily life
-
Then you are likely exactly who this space was created for.
You do not need to arrive fully rested, motivated, healed, or “doing well.”
You are allowed to come as you are. This program is designed to meet people gently.
-
That is incredibly common in caregiving professions.
Many healthcare workers have spent years learning how to care for everyone except themselves.
This program is not about becoming perfect at self-care.
It is about slowly remembering that your wellbeing matters too.
